Teresa M (Howland) Corder

TERESA MARIE HOWLAND CORDER, resident of Byhalia, Mississippi, native of Fayette County and widow of Jerry Thomas Corder, Sr. died Monday, November 15, 2010 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis where she had been a patient for 15 days. She was 62 years of age and died following a brief illness.
A Service of Remembrance for Mrs. Corder was conducted at 2 P.M. Sunday, November 21

at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Claudia Forrest, officiating and Mary Hudspeth presenting the Eulogy. Private interment will be in the Somerville City Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes—Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mrs. Corder was born in Somerville on September 24, 1948, the daughter of the late Lawrence Lyle Howland and the late Dessie Voyles Howland. Mrs. Corder was educated in the Fayette County Public School Systems and was married on March 1, 1989 to Jerry Thomas Corder, Sr., a truck operator with Roger Henson Trucking in Whiteville. Mr. Corder preceded her in death on January 17, 2002.
Mrs. Corder was a homemaker throughout her live and was of the Baptist Faith. Her interests included needlepointing and watching television, her favorite program being “Dancing with the Stars”. She was devoted to her grandchildren and had a lifelong love for butterflies.
Survivors of Mrs. Corder include her two daughters, Tena Farrell of Hickory Withe, Teresa Lynn Miller of Jackson, Tennessee, her son, Michael Allen Butler of Oakland, her two step-sons, Christopher Eugene Corder of Dickson, Tennessee, Jerry Thomas Corder, Jr. of Harrison, Arkansas, her grandchildren, Dessie Miller, Amanda Miller, Jacob Miller, Haley Butler, Alex Butler, Gloria Butler, Riley Butler, Zachary Farrell, Sydney Farrell, and two step-grandchildren, Cody Corder and Sabrina Corder.
