Teresa Gail Ann (Whitelaw) Miller

TERESA GAIL ANN WHITELAW MILLER, resident of the Hickory Withe Community, Certified Public Accountant and wife of Thomas Paul “Tommy” Miller departed this life on Thursday afternoon, October 21, 2010 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. She was 47 years of age and died following an extended illness.

Services honoring the life of Mrs. Miller were conducted at 4 P.M. Wednesday, October 27 th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. The officiating ministers were Bro. Don Green and Bro. Mark Taylor of Sycamore View Church of Christ. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes—West Chapel of Oakland.
A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Mrs. Miller was born May 24, 1963. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry Whitelaw and Linda Cruce Whitelaw. Mrs. Miller received her education in the Florida Public School System. She received her associate degree in accounting from State Tech in Memphis and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Christian Brothers University.
Mrs. Miller was married December 18, 1982 to Tommy Miller, Division President of FLC Imports in Oakland, who survives. She was a Christian and had been a resident of Cordova before moving to the Hickory Withe Community eight years ago. Mrs. Miller had served as a Certified Public Accountant for Cannon and Company in Memphis for past 20 years. She enjoyed photography and had a love of nature, flowers and animals. Mrs. Miller will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Miller is survived by her son, Daniel Thomas Miller (Sarah) of Cordova, her brother, Joey Whitelaw of Newberry, Florida and her two precious granddaughters, Hannah and Laylah Miller.
Casketbearers were family members and friends and the family requests that memorials be directed to the Fayette County Animal Rescue, P. O. Box 44, Rossville, TN 38066 or Fayette Cares, 13300 N. Main Street, Somerville, TN 38068.
