Terri Lynn (Bryson) Farris

November 13, 1958 — February 25, 2014

Terri Lynn Bryson Farris, resident of the Somerville Community and lifelong Fayette Countian departed this life Tuesday morning, February 25, 2014 at the Methodist Hospital in Somerville. She was 55 years of age and died following an extended illness.

Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Farris were conducted at 11 A.M. Saturday, March 1st at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. David Reeves, pastor of the Midway Baptist Church in Whiteville, officiating. Interment followed in the Somerville City Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center — West Chapel at Oakland.

Mrs. Farris was born November 13, 1958 in Somerville, the daughter of Peggy Glover Bryson and the late Alfred R. “Rip” Bryson. She received her education in the Fayette County Public School System and was of the Baptist faith.

In earlier years, Mrs. Farris served as a supervisor for the Witt Manufacturing Company and held the distinction of being the first female supervisor in the brazing department of the company. Her interests included crocheting, reading, computers, karaoke, skating, card games with friends and special television programs.

Mrs. Farris is survived by her daughter, Heather Peterson (Daniel) of Moscow; her son, Kevin James Farris of Somerville; her mother, Peggy Glover Bryson of Somerville; her brother, Alfred Raymond Bryson, Jr. of Somerville; and four grandchildren, Jonathan Geyer, Jacob Peterson, Lemuel Peterson and Lexie Farris.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, Jeremy Ray Farris who died October 17, 2008.

Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Chad Rhea, Marty Woods, Anthony German, Alfred R. Bryson, III, Preston Bryson, Joseph Williams, Shannon Dodge and Atlas Shields.

Honorary casketbearers were T.J. Davis, Mike Woods and Josh Leatherwood.
