Terrel Evans "Terry" Parlow, age 73, resident of Memphis and husband of the late Claudia Roberts Parlow, departed this life Saturday evening, January 17, 2015 at the Baptist Trinity Hospice House in Collierville.
A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Parlow was conducted at 1 P.M. Wednesday, January 21st at the First Evangelical Church in Memphis. Interment was private. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
Mr. Parlow was born July 2, 1941 in Memphis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick Parlow and Mary Jo Rainey Parlow. He received his education in the Shelby County Public School System and was a graduate of Whitehaven High School. He was employed as a painting contractor for a number of years before his retirement. He was married to Claudia Roberts Parlow, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Parlow was a resident of Memphis and a member of the First Evangelical Church in Memphis where he received much pleasure in serving and helping with mission trips. He enjoyed sports, reading, traveling and special times with his grandchildren. Hunting was a favorite hobby in earlier years.
Mr. Parlow is survived by his daughter, Christi Sisk (Gary) of Olive Branch, MS; his son, Tim Parlow of Memphis; his brother, Larry Parlow of Murfreesboro; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the First Evangelical Church in Memphis Missions Program, 735 Ridge Lake Boulevard, Memphis, Tennessee 38120.
