Thelma "Billie" (Lynch) Culver

April 19, 1925 — July 20, 2015

Thelma "Billie" Lynch Culver, age 90, resident of the Oakland Community and wife of the late Chester Culver, departed this life Monday evening, July 20, 2015 at her residence.

Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Culver will be conducted at 2 P.M. Thursday, July 23rd at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with interment in the Macon Cemetery in the Macon Community. A visitation for Mrs. Culver will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, July 22nd at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Main Chapel in Somerville.

Mrs. Culver was born April 19, 1925 in the Macon Community. She was preceded in death by her parents, Will Lynch and Mallie Darnell Lynch. She received her education in the Fayette County Public School System and was a lifelong resident of the Fayette County area. She was a member of the Oakland Church of Christ and enjoyed gardening, preparing food, canning and special times with her family. Mrs. Culver will be remembered for the many times she gave of her time and generosity to her community.

Mrs. Culver is survived by three daughters, Bonnie Faye Claunch (Gene) of Piperton, Judy Bobbitt Russell of Oakland, Sandy Taylor Wolfe of Oakland; her sister, Margrette Hull of Olive Branch, MS; her brother, Robert Lynch of Oakland; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Johnnie Ann Bobbitt Allen and her sister, Mildred Moody.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Shane Russell, Tom Fontana, Mason DeGroot, Preston Bryson, Ed Duncan and Tyler Wolfe.

Honorary pallbearers will include Taylor Wolfe and Max DeGroot.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the Oakland Church of Christ, P.O. Box 105, Oakland, TN 38060 or the Fayette County Chapter of the American Cancer Society, c/o Linda Taylor, 16845 U.S. Highway 64, Somerville, TN 38068.
