Thomas Everett Burgess

THOMAS "Tommy" EVERETT BURGESS, JR., resident of Milroy, Indiana and former resident of the Gallaway Community died Saturday, June 19, 2010. He was 66 years of age and died following an extended illness.
Funeral Services for Mr. Burgess were conducted at 10 A.M. Thursday, June 24th at the graveside with Rev. Loyd Shelton, Baptist Minister of Rossville officiating. Interment followed in the Burrow Cemetery near Gallaway. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mr. Burgess was born February 17, 1944 in the Gallaway Community, the son of Virginia Louise Burrows Burgess and the late Thomas Everett Burgess, Sr. He received his education in the Fayette County Public School System and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Burgess had been a resident of Indiana for a number of years and was an electrician in Indiana before his retirement.
Mr. Burgess is survived by his son Thomas Everett Burgess, III, his mother, Virginia Louise Burrows Burgess of the Gallaway Community, his sisters, Sis Crutcher of Gallaway, Edna Fortune of Memphis, two brothers, Charlie Dacus of Memphis and Walt Dacus of Memphis.
Family members and friends served as casketbearers and the family request memorials be directed to the Burrow Cemetery Association, Attn: Charles and Penney Jones, 1800 Burrow Cemetery Drive, Arlington, TN 38002.
