Thomas William Gotwald

Thomas William “Tommy” Gotwald, Somerville resident, Financial Advisor for Wells Fargo and husband of Sharon Foster Gotwald departed this life Friday, August 29, 2014 at the Methodist Fayette Hospital in Somerville. He was 55 years of age and died unexpectedly of natural causes.

A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Gotwald was conducted at 11 A.M. Saturday, September 6th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Personal remarks were given by family members and friends. Interment was private. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.

Mr. Gotwald was born August 22, 1959 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Christine Elizabeth Cox Gotwald and the late William James Gotwald. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin and was married in 1982 to the former Sharon Foster, who survives.

Mr. Gotwald was a resident of the Somerville Community for six years and was employed as a financial advisor for the Wells Fargo Company for 21 years. He was a family man who enjoyed golf, reading and airplanes.

Mr. Gotwald is survived by his daughters, Brandy Conklin (Michael) and Autumn Pugh (Ryan) both of Paris, TN; his mother, Christine Gotwald of North Royalton, OH; his sister, Kathy Tabar (Paul) of Berea, OH; three brothers, Steven Gotwald of North Ridgeville, OH, Robert Gotwald (Deborah) of Parma, OH, Brian Gotwald of Cordova; and five grandchildren, Tyler Etherton, Lexi Bond, Marc Bond, Katelyn Triplett and Ethan Pugh.
