Thomas Harold Kennon

Thomas Harold Kennon, age 65, resident of Moscow and retired truck operator for Troxel Manufacturing in Moscow, departed this life Wednesday morning, May 25, 2016 at the St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett.
Services of Remembrance for Mr. Kennon were conducted at 2 P.M. Friday, May 27, 2016 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Bro. Tony Watkins officiating. Interment followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery at Moscow. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mr. Kennon was born December 22, 1950 in Moscow. He received his education in the Fayette County Public School System and was a graduate of Fayette County High School. He was a lifelong resident of Moscow and was employed at Troxel Manufacturing as a truck operator. Mr. Kennon was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church and was a volunteer firefighter in Moscow for 18 years. He enjoyed building model cars and special times with his family.
Mr. Kennon is survived by three daughters, April Kennon Garrens of Moscow, Carrie Kennon Gonzalez and her husband, Noe, of Lamar, MS, Veronica Kennon Melendez and her husband, Daniel, of Moscow; his son, Thomas Anthony Kennon of Moscow; two sisters, Linda Carol Harris of Memphis, Nellie Marie Kennon of Moscow; his brother, Reginald “Tony” Anthony Kennon and his wife, Tonya, of Moscow; thirteen grandchildren, Jacob Kennon, Brandon Garrens, Mia Garrens, Paula Gonzalez, Deanna Gonzalez, Noe “Noah” Gonzalez, Jr., Diannelle Harris, Justice Yeager, Marie Melendez, Isreal Melendez, Isabella Melendez, Tallie Melendez, Daniel Melendez, Jr.; and his great-grandson, Brayden Kennon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Leo Kennon and Verna Mae Hollida Kennon.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Ned Harris, Noah Harris, Lee Smallwood, Ronnie Morgan, Bro. Billy Adair and Gary “Foots” Taylor. Honorary pallbearers included Ruff Owens.
