Somerville, Tennessee

Thomas Lee “Tom” Millican, Sr., age 72, resident of Somerville, Tennessee and husband of Judy Millican, departed this life Thursday, January 23, 2025 at his home.

Tom was born October 2, 1952 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, the son of Verla Coombes Millican and the late Thomas Jasper Millican. He graduated in 1970 from Westville High School in Westville, Oklahoma and served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1970 until 1994. Tom was married May 28, 1983 to Judy Mathis Millican and was a member of Parks Chapel Methodist Church near Somerville. Tom was employed as a CAD modeler at Myers Utilities for many years before his retirement and he enjoyed traveling, going on cruises and fishing. He loved being outdoors and playing with his grandchildren – especially teaching them new things.

Mr. Millican is survived by his wife of 41 years, Judy Millican; his daughter, Elizabeth Millican (Bradley Noble); three sons, Tommy Millican, Jr., Kevin Millican and C.J. Millican (Kristina); his mother, Verla Marsh; two sisters, Lynne Dowdy (David) and Glenda Higgins (Wally); his brother, Jim Millican (Cyndi); and eight grandchildren, Alex Millican, Tyler Millican, Nicholas Millican, Riley Braswell, Paxton Noble, Andrew Edmonds, Brandon Braswell and Jasper Millican.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa Millican; his brother, Kenneth Millican; and his granddaughter, Cheyenne Edmonds.

A visitation for Mr. Millican will be from 12:30 to 2 P.M. Sunday, January 26, 2025 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville. Funeral Services will be at 2 P.M. Sunday, January 26, 2025 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Pastor Karen Wagenhals, of Parks Chapel Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Parks Chapel Cemetery near Somerville.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Jeff Malone, Amp Duane, Kevin Smith, Jerry Rogers, Murray Davis and Bob Wagenhals.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the American Legion, P.O. Box 1954, Indianapolis, IN 46206.
