Thomas Clayton “Tom Tom” Kee, resident of the Oakland community, died August 8th, 2013 as a result of injuries received in a vehicle accident that occurred in Memphis. He was 27 years of age.
Services of Remembrance for Tom Tom were conducted at 3 P.M. Sunday, August 11th at Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Lillie Fletcher of the Antioch United Methodist Church in Fayette County officiating. Interment followed in the Hood Cemetery in Warren Community. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center — West Chapel of Oakland.
Tom Tom was born May 14th, 1986 in Memphis, the son of the former Melissa Anne Springer and William Mark Kee. He received his education in the Fayette County Public School System and the Morris Chapel Christian School in Somerville. He was employed as a welder for Jones Brothers Company in Memphis. Tom Tom was a Christian and a lifelong resident of the Somerville and Memphis areas. He will be remembered for his love of motorcycles. He was a family oriented person and enjoyed happy times with his family and many motorcycle friends.
Tom Tom is survived by his parents, Melissa and Charles Tatum of Oakland and Mark and Wanda Kee of Somerville. He also leaves his sister, Madison Page Tatum of Oakland, two stepsisters, Jennifer Stines of Rio Rico, AZ and Jamie Proctor-Vistrand of Jackson, TN, his stepbrother, Jason Proctor of Moscow, grandparents, Phyllis and Charlie Springer of Somerville, R.C. and Becky Kee of Somerville, Nell Kee of Somerville and Buddy and Mary Tatum of Somerville, and two great grandmothers, Allie German Springer of Somerville and Verna Duke of Moscow.
Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Larry Powers, David Warren, Harold Bryant, Steve Hawkins, Jimmy Sanford and Chris “Freebird” Finch.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the Hood Cemetery Association in care of Betty Hardin, 1290 Stafford Drive, Somerville, TN 38068.
