Tim Kee

James Timothy "Tim" Kee, age 55, resident of the Oakland Community, departed this life Monday, March 23, 2015 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

Services of Remembrance for Mr. Kee were conducted at 2 P.M. Friday, March 27th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Jason Moore, pastor of the Oakland Baptist Church, officiating. A Poem Reading was given by Tony Looney and special music was provided by Janice Doss, soloist. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.

Mr. Kee was born October 4, 1959 in Somerville, the son of Sarah Willadine Culver Kee and the late Ray Jackson Kee. He received his education in the Fayette County Public School System and was a member of the Oakland First Baptist Church. He was employed as the Kitchen Department Manager at Kroger in Cordova since 2000. Mr. Kee enjoyed special times with his nieces and nephews, growing flowers, gardening and received much pleasure in giving away his vegetables. He will be remembered as a people-person who always thought of others before himself.

Mr. Kee is survived by his mother, Sarah Culver Kee of Oakland; three sisters, Sandra Hill (Lee) of Williston, Patsy Nuchols (Larry) of Collierville, Cathy Waxler of Moscow; his brother, David Kee (Sandy) of Marion, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Luke Taylor.

Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Rick Jackson, David Doss, Tony Looney, Danny Hill, Randy Kee and Harlan Kee.

Honorary casketbearers were Andy Culver, Eric Kee, Jacob Kee, Mitchell Nuchols and Zach Kee.
