Timothy Wayne Murley, age 56, resident of Stanton, Tennessee, departed this life Tuesday morning, March 27, 2018 at his residence.
Services of Remembrance for Mr. Murley were conducted at 11 A.M. Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Bro. John Ed Watkins, pastor of the Mercy Bridge Church in Somerville, officiating. Personal remarks were given by Dr. Lee Brown and special music was provided by Brandon Jones. Interment followed in the Somerville City Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mr. Murley was born October 6, 1961 in Memphis, Tennessee. He was a graduate of Kingsbury High School Class of 1980 and was employed as a roofer for many years. He was a member of the Fredonia Baptist Church in Stanton. Mr. Murley was a longtime resident of the Stanton area and he enjoyed singing in church, going out to eat at Taco Bell and Captain D’s, wrestling, fishing and special times with his family members and friends. He was known for having a heart of gold.
Mr. Murley is survived by his mother, Shirley Ann Jones Murley Bryant of Stanton, TN; four sisters, Cathy Foust (Larry) of Memphis, TN, Peggy Sheppard (Dan) of Goodlettsville, TN, Rhonda Parks (Chip) of Bartlett, TN, Theresa McNich of Lakeland, TN; and his brother, Johnny Murley of Memphis, TN. He also leaves his pet dog, “Buddy”.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Thomas Murley and his stepfather, James Bryant.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Steven Burleson, Chris Rose, Terry Jones, DeWayne Jones, Nick Rose and Tony McNich.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the church, charity or organization of the donor’s choice.
