Timothy "Tim" Seth Garrington

Timothy Seth "Tim" Garrington, age 50, resident of Smyrna, Tennessee and son of Seth and Ruby Burton Garrington of Somerville, departed this life Wednesday morning, January 28, 2015.   

Services of Remembrance for Mr. Garrington were conducted at 3:30 P.M. Monday, February 2nd at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Dr. Stephen White and Bro. John Honea officiating. Personal remarks were given by David Kelley. Interment followed in the Somerville City Cemetery.

Mr. Garrington was born April 24, 1964 in Nashville, the son of Seth N. Garrington and Ruby L. Burton Garrington. He received his education at Tennessee Tech University and was employed at the State Fire Marshall's office and with the Department of Tourism. He was married March 31, 2014 to Darlene Garrington, who survives.   

Mr. Garrington was a resident of Smyrna in Rutherford County and was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) and enjoyed football.   

Mr. Garrington is survived by his wife, Sara Darlene Garrington of Smyrna, TN; his daughter, Kelsea Shea Garrington of LaVergne, TN; his son, Burton Seth Garrington of LaVergne, TN; his stepson, Tristan Dakota Warren of Smyrna, TN; his parents, Seth and Ruby Garrington of Somerville; two sisters, Evelyn Garrington of Nashville, TN, Candy Kelley (David) of Somerville; and his brother, Russell Alan Garrington (Angie) of Collierville.   

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were David Kelley, Matt Kelley, Russell Garrington, Mark Wagner, Carlton DeFoor, Mark Starnes and Paul Grassel. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Miller, Aubrey Green, Royce Reeves, Preston Douglass and Ed Denniston.
