Charles Thomas "Tommy" Bryant, age 68, resident of the Whiteville Community and retired Tennessee State Trooper, departed this life Monday, December 29th at his residence.
Services of Remembrance for Mr. Bryant will be conducted at 6 P.M. Tuesday, January 6th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with visitation one hour before services. Interment will be private. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
Mr. Bryant was born June 9, 1946 in Whiteville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Bryant and Marie Rogers Bryant. He attended college at the Memphis State University and was a lifelong resident of the West Tennessee area. He served as a State Trooper in Tennessee for a number of years before his retirement. Mr. Bryant was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing, working in his shop and his farm equipment.
Mr. Bryant is survived by two sons, Jeff Bryant of Whiteville, David Bryant (Paula) of Moscow; his sister, Charlotte Rogers (Winston) of Whiteville; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the church, charity or organization of the donor's choice.
