1963—2011

Tony Allen “Bones” Tice, resident of the Oak Grove Community near Moscow and longtime Fayette County Roofer died Sunday morning, June 12, 2011 at the Methodist Fayette Hospital in Somerville where he had been a patient for five days. He was 47 years of age and died following an extended illness.

Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Tice were conducted at 2 P.M. Thursday, June 16 th at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel at Somerville with Rev. Tony Watkins of Moscow, officiating. Interment followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Moscow and arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes—Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mr. Tice was born November 16, 1963 in Memphis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Franklin Tice and Betty Britt Tice. Mr. Tice was educated in the Fayette County Public School System and was a Roofer with Tice and Sons Roofing in Moscow for 30 years before retiring for health reasons.

A Christian and lifelong resident of the Moscow area, Mr. Tice enjoyed bicycle riding, race car activities and sports. He was a family oriented person who enjoyed special times with family and friends.

Mr. Tice is survived by his two brothers: Terry Tice (Nichole) of Moscow, Ronald Tice (Fran) of Moscow, four nephews and three nieces. In addition to his parents, Mr. Tice was preceded in death by four sisters: Debra Lynn Tice, Angela Faye Tice, Gloria Elaine Tice, Violet Darlene Tice and one brother: Luther Dewayne Tice.

Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Terry Bean, Danny Dingus, James Fletcher, Boo Hawkins, Thomas Holmes, Chuck Souder and Dennis Thatcher.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the Fayette County Chapter of the American Cancer Society, 16845 Highway 64, Somerville, TN 38068.
