VALDON PAUL "VAL" JESSOP

VALDON PAUL "VAL" JESSOP, a resident of the Collierville Community and a longtime Financial Executive, died at 8:00 A.M. Saturday, October 4, 2008 at his Collierville residence. He was 68 years of age and died following a brief illness.
Funeral services for Mr. Jessop were conducted at 10 A.M. Thursday, October 9th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Collierville. Interment followed on Saturday, October 11th at the Millville Cemetery in Millville, Utah. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes-West Chapel of Oakland.
Mr. Jessop was born March 4, 1940 at Millville, the son of the late Franklin Elmo Jessop and the late Elmo-Alta Jessop. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Utah State University.
A faithful member of his church, Mr. Jessop devoted 2 years of his life as a Missionary in the New England States Mission and continued to give his service to his church in many leadership positions. He had been a resident of West Tennessee for the past twenty-two years.
Mr. Jessop was an accomplished Financial Executive including Vice President CFO and Division Controller with many years of experience in Manufacturing Environments.
He is survived first and foremost by his beautiful wife, Yula Johnson Jessop and his mother, Alta Jessop; his sons and daughters-in-law: Kevin & Dalliene Jessop, Darrin & Lisa Jessop and Jeremy & Angela Jessop; his daughters and sons-in-law: Melanie & Ron Lockwood, Tonya & Mark Crosby, Heidi & Bill Andersen, Tara & Ben Ogden, Cherise & Brady Camp; his siblings: Michael Jessop, Twilla Hansen and Reunell Bankhead; and his sweet prized possessions-his grandchildren: Katelyn, Elizabeth, Alexander, Andrew, Jack, Maxwell, Ashlyn, Bennett, Jade, Mitchell, Olivia, Brigitte, Braxton, Kylie, Kendall, Chloe, Myles, Samantha, Evelyn, Emma, Seth and Preston.
