Vann Rozzell Stiffler, age 73, resident of the Somerville Community and wife of Donald Stiffler, departed this life Wednesday morning, November 4, 2015 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.
Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Stiffler were conducted at 1 P.M. Monday, November 9, 2015 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Gary Higgins, pastor of the Covenant Baptist Church in Cleveland, Tennessee, officiating. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
Mrs. Stiffler was born August 3, 1942 in Gibson, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Bell Eddings and Alice Elizabeth Bratcher Eddings. She moved with her family at an early age to Illinois, where she was a graduate of Flower High School in Chicago. She was married May 7, 1966 to Donald Jay Stiffler, who survives. Mrs. Stiffler moved to West Tennessee and was member of the Mason Wells Baptist Church in Beech Bluff, Tennessee. She enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, collecting dolls and jewelry.
Mrs. Stiffler is survived by her husband of 49 years, Donald Jay Stiffler of Somerville; two sons, Steven Thomas Stiffler (Sandy) of Holly Springs, MS, Michael Alan Stiffler of Aurora, CO; her sister, Mary Alice Justice (Charles) of Raccoon, KY; and two grandsons, Thomas Ray Stiffler of Somerville and Cameron Michael Stiffler of Aurora, CO.
