Velma Mai (Henry) Dowdy

Velma Henry Dowdy, 94, longtime resident of the Liberty Community and wife of the late Lavern Dowdy died August 9, 2010. Funeral Services will be at 10 AM Wednesday at the Liberty Baptist Church where Mrs. Dowdy was a devoted member for many years with interment in the Liberty Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 6 PM Tuesday at the church. She leaves her children: Tennie Mai Scott (Aaron) of Trenton, Alma Joyce Taylor (Clarence) of Somerville, William Dowdy (Valerie) of Somerville, Howard Dowdy (Aleen) of Somerville, Ronnie Dowdy (JoAnn) of Somerville and Dennis Dowdy (Natalya) of Kent, Washington, 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Memorials requested to Liberty Cemetery Association.
