Vivian "Viv" Ann (Smith) Johnson

Vivian Ann "Viv" Smith Johnson, resident of the Somerville Community and wife of Jerry Lynn Johnson, departed this life Thursday evening, July 23, 2015 at her residence.

Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Johnson will be conducted at 2 P.M. Tuesday, July 28th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with visitation two hours before services. Interment will be private. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.

Mrs. Johnson was born August 20, 1954 in Memphis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Smith and Francis McDonald Smith. She was a graduate of Messick High School in Memphis and was the wife of Jerry Lynn Johnson, who survives. Mrs. Johnson was of the Methodist faith, enjoyed spending time with her family along with volunteering with The Dream Factory in Memphis.

In addition to her husband of 39 years, Mrs. Johnson is survived by her daughter, Courtney Gorbea (Thomas) of Oakland; her son, Justin Johnson (Beth) of Rossville; her sister, Terry Fetters (Bill) of Southaven, MS; and her granddaughter, Savanna Gorbea of Oakland.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Nicholas Johnson and her sister, Vicki Reeves.

The family requests that memorials be directed to The Dream Factory, P.O. Box 381766, Memphis, TN 38183 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
