Walter Barton Schulz

Walter Barton Schulz, age 75, resident of Cordova, Tennessee, departed this life Saturday morning, June 1, 2019 at his residence.

Funeral Services for Mr. Schulz were held at 3 P.M. Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Dancyville United Methodist Church. Interment followed in the Dancyville Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – Main Chapel in Somerville.

Walter was born July 22, 1943 in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of the late Barton Brown Schulz and Mary Graham Schulz. He was a former resident of the Dancyville Community and attended Dancyville United Methodist Church. He was employed as a maintenance man for several years and was a perpetual student and hobbyist. Walter enjoyed traveling, model trains and was intrigued in how things were made.

Mr. Schulz is survived by his brother, David Schulz and his wife, Jackie, of Barnwell, South Carolina; his niece, Ashley Schulz; and his nephew, Mathew Schulz. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kay Schulz Reynolds.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Rob Graham, Jerry Hunter, Kenneth Yates, Bill Graham, Billy Switzer and Gaylon Crawford. Honorary pallbearers were Mike Binkley, Darrell Thomas and Mr. Schulz's first cousins.
