Wanda Ladoyce (Moerbe) Jordan

Wanda Ladoyce Moerbe Jordan, age 77, resident of Somerville, Tennessee and wife of the late James Carol Jordan, departed this life Sunday morning, January 28, 2018 at her residence.

Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Jordan were conducted at 12 noon Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Bro. Tony Watkins of Moscow officiating. Interment followed in the Evergreen Cemetery at Williston. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mrs. Jordan was born July 15, 1940 in Vernon, Texas, the daughter of Alvin Moerbe and Geneva Gardner Moerbe. She was married June 15, 1957 to James Carol Jordan and she was of the Lutheran faith. She was employed as a carpet cleaner for many years before her retirement. Mrs. Jordan enjoyed fishing, bowling, preparing food, cooking, sewing, singing and listening to country music and going to her husband’s softball games.

Mrs. Jordan is survived by two daughters, Linda C. Williams (Marvin) of Somerville, TN, Debra A. Norris (Tom) of Collierville, TN; her son, Phillip Todd Jordan of Somerville, TN; two sisters, Paula Wilson of Vernon, TX, JoAnn Burgess of Dallas, TX; her brother, Steve Moerbe (Belinda) of Vernon, TX; four grandchildren, Krista Hooper of Pineville, LA, Jeremy Hooper (Ashley) of Pineville, LA, Chance Poe (Kerri) of Somerville, TN, Skyler Norris of Bartlett, TN; fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Carol Jordan who died January 1, 2010; her parents, Alvin Moerbe and Geneva Gardner Moerbe; her son, James Victor Jordan who died May 8, 2012; and three brothers, Billy Moerbe, Bobby Moerbe and Gary Moerbe.
