Wilda Wilson
1938—2010
Wilda Jean Ferguson Wilson, resident of the Somerville Community, retired Childcare Provider and native Californian died Thursday morning, November 4, 2010 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital at Collierville where she had been a patient for the last twelve days. She was 72 years of age and died following a brief illness.
Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Wilson will be conducted at 6 P.M. Monday, November 8

at Liberty Baptist Church near Laconia with Rev. Jim Whitley, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment is private and arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes—Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mrs. Wilson was born in Fresno, California on May 18, 1938 the daughter of Roy Ferguson and Edith Dobson Ferguson Wood. She received her education in the San Diego Public School System and was a former resident of Sacramento, California before moving to Fayette County ten years ago.
Mrs. Wilson was a Childcare Provider in earlier years and was of the Baptist Faith. Her interests included reading, crafts, needlepoint, bingo, dominos and adding new purchases to her collection of small ringing bells.
Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husbands, Dave Stanley and Lloyd Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Kathy Goodman and her sister, Patricia Ann Ferguson.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by two daughters, Sandra Wilferd (Terry) of Bartlett, Sherry Rowe (Dennis) of Moscow, one son, John Stanley (Jennifer) of San Diego, California, two sisters, Betty Stewart (J.C.) of Somerville, Sue Stassinos of San Diego, California, one brother, Wayne Walker (Marylee) of Lakeside, California, fourteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the Liberty Baptist Church, Liberty Cemetery Association or St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital.
