Willena (Stafford) Twitchell

Willena Stafford Twitchell, age 98, resident of Oakland, Tennessee, departed this life Thursday evening, November 30, 2023 at her home.

Willena was born August 16, 1925 in Fayette County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late William Henry Stafford and Olivia Harrison Stafford. She graduated from Fayette County High School in 1944 and was employed as a management assistant at Schering-Plough in Memphis, Tennessee, before her retirement. Willena was of the Church of Christ faith and was an extremely talented person who could do just about anything. She raised two children on her own and loved painting and working puzzles and crosswords.

Mrs. Twitchell is survived by her daughter, Olivia Twitchell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jason Twitchell, Jr.; her sister, Carrie Medina; and her brother, Murray Stafford.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Twitchell were held at 1 P.M. Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Oakland Church of Christ with Gregory Artz officiating. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64.
