William David Nowell

William David Nowell, age 85, resident of Eads, Tennessee and husband of Delores Jean Goodman Nowell, departed this life Friday, May 17, 2024 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

William was born December 23, 1938 in Memphis, the son of the late William Edwards Nowell and Annie McCollum Nowell. He was employed as a machine operator for Kimberly Clark for many years before his retirement. First and foremost, William was a Christian. He was a jack of all trades who loved the outdoors and activities that included golfing, hunting and fishing.

Mr. Nowell loved his family very much. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Delores Jean Goodman Nowell; two sons, Gary Nowell (Chris) and Greg Nowell (Aloma); ten grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Randy Nowell and Danny Nowell and two brothers, Vernon Nowell and Deanie Nowell.

A visitation for Mr. Nowell will be from 1 to 2 P.M. Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Funeral Services will be at 2 P.M. Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Eddie Little officiating. Interment will follow in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be David Nowell, Lucas Nowell, Jacob Nowell, Joseph Nowell, Stephen Nowell and Matthew Nowell.
