William Thomas Taylor, Jr.

William Thomas Taylor, Jr., age 63, resident of Bolivar and husband of Sara h James Taylor, departed this life Monday morning, December 12, 2016 at the Pine Meadows Nursing Home in Bolivar.

Services of Remembrance for Mr. Taylor were conducted at 11 A.M. Friday, December 16, 2016 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Stan Smith, pastor of the Somerville First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment followed in the Memory Hill Gardens Cemetery in Memphis. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.

Mr. Taylor was born January 4, 1953 in Ripley, Tennessee. He was married June 4, 1974 to the former Sarah James and he was the owner of William Taylor Roofing since 1978, working with his sons and dogs, Kangaroo and Boy, by his side. Mr. Taylor was a member of the Somerville First Baptist Church and enjoyed deer hunting.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sarah James Taylor of Bolivar, TN; two daughters, Rebekah Taylor Sparkman of Somerville, TN, Hannah Taylor Lake (Brett) of Jackson, TN; two sons, Adam Taylor (Susanna) of Olive Branch, MS, Phillip Taylor of Bolivar, TN; two brothers, John Taylor (Ginger) of Covington, TN, Paul Taylor (Becky) of Millington, TN; and three grandchildren, Kenslie Scott, Mason Lake, and Grayson Sparkman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Thomas Taylor and Martha Pugh Taylor; two sisters and one brother.
