William Edward “Bill” Fleming, Jr., age 55, resident of Michigan City, Mississippi, departed this life Friday morning, November 11, 2022 at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett, Tennessee.
Bill was born May 25, 1967 in Memphis, the son of the late William Edward Fleming, Sr. and Linda Sue Elam Fleming. He graduated from Gray Academy in Ashland, Mississippi in 1985 and served his country in the Mississippi Army National Guard for six years. Bill was the owner of Fleming Heating and Air for many years and enjoyed fishing, hunting, music and playing the drums.
Mr. Fleming is survived by his wife, Zondra Houston of Somerville, TN; two stepchildren, Ragen Houston of Destin, FL and Reed Morris of Somerville, TN; his stepmother, Jamie Fleming of Michigan City, MS; three brothers, Jim Fleming (Adrienne) of Nashville, TN, David Fleming (Cydney) of Eads, TN and William Edward “Ned” Akins (Tricia) of Oakland, TN; two nieces, Hadley Fleming and Lilly Fleming; five nephews, Kyle Elliott, Conner Fleming, Owen Fleming, Gavin Fleming and Bennett Fleming; and two pets, Star and Dootz.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Susan Fleming.
Memorial Services for Mr. Fleming were held at 12 noon Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Brent Porterfield officiating. Interment were private.
