William "Bill" Ernest Gruthoff

William Ernest “Bill” Gruthoff, age 81, resident of Crestview, Florida and native of Rossville, Tennessee, departed this life Thursday morning, January 21, 2016 at the North Okaloosa Medical Center in Crestview.
Services of Remembrance for Mr. Gruthoff were conducted at 1 P.M. Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville. Interment followed in the Somerville City Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mr. Gruthoff was born June 14, 1934 in Rossville. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Mississippi State University and was a member of the Somerville First Baptist Church. He was employed as an electrical engineer for Westinghouse before his retirement. Mr. Gruthoff enjoyed football and traveling the world.
Mr. Gruthoff was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Gruthoff and Marsha Mae Treadway Gruthoff and his brother, Forest Gruthoff.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Chuck Treadway, Steve Treadway, Mitchell Gruthoff, David Gruthoff, Rodney Gruthoff and Jason German. Honorary pallbearers were Dale Treadway, Harold Carden, Sammy Hurst and Mike Brown.
