Wilma Jean (Crunk) Velpel
August 1, 1947 — April 12, 2015
Wilma Jean Crunk Velpel, age 67, resident of the Hickory Withe Community and wife of the late Raymond Joseph Velpel, departed this life Sunday afternoon, April 12, 2015 at the Methodist LeBonheur Germantown Hospital.
Services and Interment for Mrs. Velpel were private. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
Mrs. Velpel was born August 1, 1947 in Memphis. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Carroll Crunk and Katie Dunn Crunk. She received her education in the Tipton County Public School System and was married December 18, 1992 to Raymond Joseph Velpel who preceded her in death on August 26, 2013. She was a lifelong resident of West Tennessee and enjoyed gardening.
Mrs. Velpel is survived by her daughter, Paula Davis; her son, Anthony Grantham; two sisters, Anita Batson, Thelma Crunk; and three grandchildren, Sammy Davis, Chris Dillion and Anthony Scott, Jr.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Crunk.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the charity or organization of the donor's choice.
