Zachery DeWayne Watson, resident of the Moscow Community, died instantly Saturday evening, March 12, 2011 of injuries received in a two-vehicle accident that occurred on Collierville-Arlington Road in Shelby County. He was 18 years of age.
Joint Services of Remembrance for Zac and his friend, Michael Cleveland, were conducted at 2 P.M. Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. The officiating ministers were Tony Watkins, Bobby Williams and Kevin Treadway. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
Zac was born July 25, 1992 in Memphis and had been a resident of Fayette County for much of his life. He received his education in area and home schools and was a Christian. Zac enjoyed nature, outdoor activities, sports, NASCAR and fellowship with family and friends. A favorite pastime was television wrestling and eating popsicles with "Uncle Duck".
Zac's survivors include his mother, Linda Bennett of Moscow; his fathers, William Watson of Collierville, Ronald Bennett of
Moscow; his sister, Elizabeth Anthony of Moscow; his brothers, Freddy Anthony of Moscow, Dustin Watson of Collierville, Tony Hill, Joshua Hill and Christopher Hill, all of Englewood, Florida, Matthew Watkins of Moscow; and his grandparents, Donnie Mae Wilson of Somerville and Rosie Watson of Gulf Shores, Mississippi.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Freddy Anthony, Adam Bennett, Jeremy Smith, Matthew Watkins, Dustin Watson and Steven Williams.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the church, charity or organization of the donor's choice.
