Zoelanda "Linda" (Smith) Ward

Zoelanda “Linda” Smith Ward, age 63, resident of Somerville and wife of the late Edward “Whale” Ward, died Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Methodist North Hospital in Memphis.
Graveside Services for Mrs. Ward will be conducted at 1 P.M. Friday, October 13, 2017 at Mt. Olive Cemetery in McKenzie, Tennessee. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mrs. Ward was born September 12, 1954 in Memphis, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Veto Smith and Rilla Odell Underwood Smith. She received her education in the Memphis City School System and was a former resident of Rossville, Tennessee before moving to Somerville, Tennessee. Mrs. Ward enjoyed preparing food, especially baking cooking, making candles and special times with her friends.
Mrs. Ward is survived by two sisters, Jessie Mae Hansen of Ashland, MS, Geraldine Forte of Macon, TN and three brothers, Donald Smith (Sarah) of Eads, TN, Richard Smith of Memphis, TN and Robert Smith (Ann) of Eads, TN.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Donald Smith, Robert Smith, Freddie Hansen, William Hansen and Jerry Humble.
