Bobby Eugene Russell, Sr.

BOBBY E. RUSSELL, SR., known lovingly by family and friends as "Peeps", 74, of Somerville, formerly of Memphis, died November 11, 2007 at home.
Funeral services for Mr. Russell were conducted at 2 P.M. Wednesday, November 14th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel on Hwy. 64 at Oakland with Father Richard Micky of the Catholic Diocese of West Tennessee, officiating. Interment followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery on Poplar Avenue at I-240 in Memphis. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Home-West Chapel.
He was preceded in death by his parents Wes and Sarah Russell, his sister, Evelyn Williams; his brother, David Russell; and his son Bobby E. Russell, Jr. (Dell). He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Barbara A. Russell; his children Terri Hays-Peaks (David) of Oakland, Mike Russell (Susan) of Oakland, Robin Cathey (Perry) of Arlington, and Sharon Stewart (Greg) of Greeneville, TN; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Helen Hogue and Mary Elizabeth Murray, both of Memphis; and his brother, Roy Russell, of Montgomery, AL.
The family asks that Memorials be sent to St. Benedict at Auburndale or Christian Brothers University in honor of the Bobby E. Russell, Jr. scholarship funds.
